Just arrived

Hi all, I'm Chris, recently arrived in Delhi and living in Defence Colony. I know no-one in the city so need to make some new friends!

I am working for an education company with offices in Okhla. This is not my first time living overseas (3 years in Korea and 4 years in the Netherlands) or my first time in India, but still a big adjustment to make.

Especially keen to meet people who are interested in the outdoors - I'd really like to take advantage of the proximity of the Himalaya while I am here!

Also I love theatre - am a trained actor and would really like to meet people who share this interest. Maybe even get a little group together to do some play readings or even try to put a small production on....?

And if anyone knows of any choirs that might need a half-decent tenor/baritone that would be great too!

Otherwise, just people to meet up with and enjoy a coffee or a beer would be grand :-)

Dear Chris, Hello!  How are you? Welcome to New Delhi.I wish you have a great time here in Delhi...There are so many places to go in Delhi...But its a big change for you,i mean like people, place and language..it might be very difficult for you to handle it sometime..But dont get panic its cool here other time...I should must to tell you that all the shops here close by 12'0 clock ..and all night clubs close by 1'0 clock so you cant stay for so  longer outside... and and you said something about theatre,so most of all theatres are in Hindi language here,i m not a trained actor but i used to do acting about 6 0r 7 years ago...and if you gonna organize an English-language theatre society with other ex pats then i would like to join it,i m just a movie and theatre freak...i dont know about English plays but if you are interested in watching Hindi plays then ill arrange it for you...well,,,i live in South Extension, very near to Defence Colony, hope to see you there...At a loose end i say see you,bye bye!
