Lusaka with a baby 8 months - about Malaria - Malls - Moms group?

We are currently considering a job offer in Lusaka. I am worried about malaria with my little one (8 months). Are my concerns founded?

Other than that - my daughter and I regularly go to things like active mommies and moms and babes - will I be able to find groups like these?

I read that there are 2 big malls - what are they like in comparison to Johannesburg?

Is there an area that most South Africans choose to live in?

Thanks - just a few starting questions. :)

Mosquito nets, long sleeves and window nets do the wonder

Lusaka has good residential areas with morden housing. You can use a net or close windows as the sun goes down. We don't have mosquitos all year round.  We have very big shopping malls around the city, actually more then 6 modern malls. We have most shops you are used to in south Africa. You will actually enjoy the peaceful nation of Zambia, that is should you decide to relocate. Oh! Yes there are mother and baby groups too.
