High School and College Aged Kids coming with us to Denmark.

Hej!
I'm Becci and my husband and I are trying to decide on whether to take a job offer outside of Copenhagen. What will be the deciding factor on us taking the job will be the kids. We have three girls, 18, 16, and 13. We're concerned about college/university. Will they be considered residents? Will we have to pay tuition for them as international students? Would it be harder for them to get accepted, since our middle daughter will only be coming for her senior year of high school before applying to universities? Our oldest is already at university here in the states. How do we bring her with us?

Tak!
Becci

Hi Becci,

I have found below links to you which I hope can answer your questions. Probably not all of them, but I'll then advise you to contact SIRI.

If below links don't answer your educational questions, do contact one of the universities here.

Many Danish students go to the US for a college year. This means that they'll attend another class than the original one when they return home. I have heard of no problems regarding this, but it is of course another situation than the one your daughter will  experience.

There are international schools in the Copenhagen area.
This one is free https://europaskolen.sag.dk/
I take that you'll have to pay for all the others. Subsidies may occur.
