Living in the Netherlands abroad

Hi.

I have a question for living in the Netherlands. My ideal plan is to live through wild camping around the country, never staying in any specified areas, purely to travel and explore. I am unsure how to go about this and what issues come from this idea. Not sure if this is allowed, but my job will be based on my panasonic toughbook building websites for people as my income.
I am a US citizen, thanks for any replies.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You can stay in the Netherlands (as a tourist) for a maximum of 90 days before you have to register with the authorities, what you do in that time period, nobody will really care very much.  However, it's at that point your plan will start to unravel because unlike the US, the Dutch don't allow "wild camping" (or any sort of camping really) for residence, you can rent a house and put a tent up in the garden if you wish, or rent an apartment and put it on the balcony (if you have one), but, no, what you're proposing is not a very good idea and will almost certainly crash and burn on first contact with the authorities.

Hope this helps.
