Moving to Great Pond, St Ann Perish, Jamaica

I am a Canadian, living in Prince George, BC. I am looking into moving to Great Pond, St Ann Perish, Jamaica to live with my fiance there. I am wondering what steps through immigration I have to take to obtain a working visa and permanent residence status. Would it be best for me to go over on a Visitors Visa and then go through the process over there for a working visa and permanent residence status. I know Canadians don't need a visa to go to Jamaica, but to ensure at least a 6 months stay, I am going to apply for a visa and see what they give me. Please advise me on this and give me direction as to who I would contact for more information on these matters.

If you have a return ticket dated 6 months from when you land, they will give you a stamp for the whole time. If you have no return ticket it will be 2 weeks.

When you get married you can apply for citizenship by decent. I submitted mine about 6 weeks ago. They said it can take up to a year.
