My wife and I have 2 young children and are expecting our third. We would like to buy a 7 seater SUV to fit in all the car seats we need. Is this possible in Riyadh now? I heard about the new law saying only expats with 5 members can buy these cars. But some dealers say we can buy now and others say we can't.
Is the law 5 members in the family or 5 children?
Has anyone bought a large car recently?

A friend of mine recently bought a Ford Explorer, 7 seater. There's a catch, it was used (not sure if it makes any difference), but no questions asked to register it in his name.

Thanks, does anyone know the actual rule. If we wait till we our 3rd child us born, then we are a family of 5. Does that qualify us?

@sunshine15 Well not recently, but as per the new rules you can own one as long as you have 5 or more members.
