Car Rental Services Enquiry

Hi Any of you here know which place can get a better price for car rental for one year?

Car rental for a year will cost you more than buying a used car, count around 18,000-20,000 THB per month ( approx 600-700 THB per day on long term ).
You will have to deal with local thai company, most of them are on facebook or thai website.
Renting a car here will cost you roughly the same as renting a condominium per month

Make sure any car you rent the price includes 1st class insurance.

mean that buying a car is more worth then rent a car here?

Yes but even with this, some rental company will write in small character :

Full comprehensive rental insurance with 8,000 baht or more excess applied
150-250 baht/day or more for C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver ) to reduce customers liability to 0%
Limited or Unlimited kilometers

Others points :

And for long term rental, who will service the car ? who will pay for tyres  replacement ?

Anyway ask for quotations, and read the contract, all details ( remember you are in Thailand and only original contract in Thai is legal not the translated one or verbal explanations given )

All depends on your daily usage, mileage, model you want ( lpg, petrol, diesel, cng, hbrid,...), for how long you will stay in Thailand, leasing is usually cheaper than renting but contract are not the same.

You can check used car price in bangkok in many website like dealfish, one2car, etc....

I've used budget car rent and their cars are good quality. I tried local car rental company and It broke down at night. No assistance from them and they pay for the damage cost. My lost time with the use of the car is not compensated.

Thus I believe in quality service and car from reputable company. Just think for a moment if you are facing car problem driving from 1 city to another. If you can't speak thai what happen to you? Does the car rental company come all the way to help you?

Another advantage of renting a car is you drive from Bangkok to Chiangmai then drop the car off there and take a plane back is possible.

If you are doing business and based on your company's profits, it's better to rent a car than buying one as you can make full claims on taxes. Your auditor can guide you.

Thai laws allowed a company to claim tax on car purchase only to 1.4 million baht.

Thai taxation is different from many countries.

Expats rent house that cost 500,000.00 baht a month as it's tax deductable.

Used rental cars that cost 7 million baht as they made a deal with car rental company.

Buying 2nd hand car can be risky if you don't know how to see the car condition.

Go for 1st class insurance and there is a big well known Malaysian car insurance company in Empire building. Call the m'sian embassy for info.

You can get good rates and all your answers solved talking to them as you can speak same lingo.

A co. called EZY Car Rental might be worth talking to. Near Sanam Pao BTS in Bangkok.
