I've never purchased contact lenses here in Bahrain, but I need to now.
Is a prescription required or can I just buy what I need (to be clear - I know what I need since I've been getting the same ones for years, but I do not have a prescription for it)?

Also, any opinion on the best place to buy them (i.e. most competitive prices)?

I usually buy mine in Vision Express in CityCenter - but they sell the same stuff everywhere in the world so I can get the same contact lenses that I used to buy back home. You don't need any prescription, just walk in and tell them what you want . I pay about 18BD for three pairs of monthly lenses

Some countries require a prescription, some don't.
Glad Bahrain is one that doesn't.

I use optica - even if they insist on doing a test it's only BD5 and if you have a Mum's in Bahrain purple card you get 20% off your lenses or glasses
