Wheat spring roll wrappers

I'm looking for wheat spring roll wrappers to make cha gio. I don't like the rice paper ones as they don't cook up crispy and they stick to my teeth. I have been to district 5 cho lon market and they have tiny little round ones. Not exactly ones I'm looking for and they are quite tiny. I don't speak Viet so its hard to explain. I know back in Canada i use to find them in the freezer section and just thaw before using. Any one who knows where I can find them pls reply
Much appreciated, Cheers

in here, they called it Greenbeen wrappers, which more crunchy than rice paper. you better to go market and ask them wrapper to make cha gio. they will show you two type. green been wrappers more crunchy but you will have to use them quick as it fresh and easy to dry up. once it dry up, you cant wrap the meet inside. also, it will contaminate soon.one plastic bag includes about 30-40 pieces.not sure if supermarket has it.normally i buy it at wet market, same place that sell rice paper

What are the wrappers called in vietnamese? I think I have tried the ones you mentioned but they are quite small. Looking for something like

And they are square. But I will try again at the wet markets. Thanks for the suggestion

Hi Isacameth,

I've cooked Spring rolls many times and this is the best wrap I would suggest you to you. It's thinker and softer than the rice wrap paper so you can cook your best spring rolls with ease.

Tips: In order to make your spring rolls crispy, after finish wrapping, fry the rolls in a wide pan for couple of minute until cover comes yellow. Pick them up, put in a wide dish, leave them for a while to cold down. Cover by a wrapping paper and put them in freezer for 30 minute. Then take them out and fry them until they  are ready to eat.

Enjoy your cooking
