Tricky Work/Visa situation

Hi all,

I'm currently here on a work permit (and of course working for the company I'm permitted to work for) and am now considering taking a job for a Canadian company (where I'm from originally).
How does this affect my visa? I have been here for two years and want to eventually get permanent residency.
Do I have to pay taxes in both countries?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Answer these questions and I can advise you:
1. Are you planning on working for both companies at the same time?
2. Is the Canadian company paying you in CA$ or ZAR?
3. How will they get the money to you?
4. Have you always been on the same permit?

There are numerous other questions, like what your profession is, as this could give you other permit options. But the above for now.

I believe once you terminate your current contract you do not have to pay taxes in Canada. However, for the new canadian company;u might need to remit your taxes if you are hired as an expat like your previous appointment.I hope you find a favourable offer.Cheers!
