Covid test when driving across Mexican border into us

We need to travel back to us for 12 days and are driving a Mexican plated vehicle. Are there Covid tests required before entering us by road/land?

Land/Ferry Travel to the United States

Non-citizen travelers entering the United States via land border and ferry terminal ports of entry will be permitted to enter for a non-essential reason (i.e., tourism), provided they are fully vaccinated and can present proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. Until January 2022, unvaccinated travelers may continue to cross the land border for essential travel only, including lawful trade, emergency response, and public health purposes. Click here for the FAQs  on entering the U.S. via land or ferry. COVID-19 testing is NOT required for land/ferry ports of entry.

Starting January 2022, all inbound foreign national travelers crossing U.S. land ports of entry (POEs) or ferry terminals – whether for essential or non-essential reasons – must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide related proof of vaccination.

I heard from a friend that the test is not necessary anymore by land to go in and out of Mexico.  But confirm the info just to make sure. I know that someone shared info saying it is obligated according to the embassy.  I am wondering if it is true in real life because someone posted that they entered Mexico with a refuge status from Quebec, Canada, because of the segregation going on here.  The person and their family were not vaxxed. To validate.

Mexico does not require tests They usually request a mask in stores but don't always do so. since the alcohol-based cleaner has been in short supply and as a result toxic. Hand washing has been increasing. Now that the CDC has admitted that the tests don't work. the US may not require  trying them,
Mexico is not mandating shots.

Here you go!

We drove our Mexican plated car over the border going into the US in December. We did not need a covid test going in nor going out of the US.  I don't think it's changed.

if the definitive resource from the embassy above was not sufficient, then here is the news from the US government's DHS: https://www.dhs.gov/news/2022/01/20/dhs … -entry-and
Be aware, if you are a non-US individuals then proof of vaccination is required, testing is not. This is NEW in January 2022. So for everyone's cousin who went to the US in December, their experience is irrelevant. The official policies are easily found and can save you a lot of problems at the border, and will prevent you from holding up the line.

I heard no.
