Hello everyone,

What are the most expensive cities to live in Ukraine? What are the costs of things such as rent, utilities, weekly groceries, dining out, etc.?

What is the lifestyle like in these cities, for expats and locals?

What are the different neighbourhoods like? Are there more affordable areas?

Do you have any experience living in any of Ukraine's most expensive cities? What was it like?

Which cities in Ukraine would you recommend? Are there any that offer particularly good value for money when it comes to cost of living?

Hi Priscilla.

I moved from Texas to Lviv Ukraine on 30 May And have been living and working there since. I really like it in Lviv. It's a nice quaint historical city with beautiful architecture and a population under 1 million. The prices are good. I rent a decent sized two bedroom flat for around $200 US. In my opinion Lviv is a very inexpensive place to live.

I'm not sure where you live now so I don't know how to tell you what to compare it to. Have you ever lived in Ukraine or do you live in Ukraine now?
