Hello Everyone!

I just received a job offer in Marrakech and will be traveling with my 14 year old daughter. In addition to making new friends, I'd like to get practical advice on everyday life, activities for teens, practicality of shipping my car, etc. Thanks!

Congratulations on your job in Marrakech. With regards to shipping your car I would forget that idea. You can only bring in cars under three years old and then you have to pay import tax. From memory it's about 40% of the cost of the car new. There is a government website that gives you an estimate. Depending on how long you plan to stay renting a car might be a good option. Me personally I wouldn't bother with a car in Marrakech as it wouldn't be needed so much like it is in the UK

Thank you for that information. My car is definitely older than 3 years! I really wanted a car to do some traveling more than to use within the city. I guess I'll have to think of another plan. Thanks again!
