Potential move to Copenhagen

I am 24 years old and my girlfriend lives in Copenhagen, I live in London. We have been doing long distance for a while, but it is proving more difficult and we would like to be closer to each other; and so I agreed that I will try living in Copenhagen.

My primary concern is finding a job. I have a bachelors degree (no masters) and I have a good career in London, working for a law firm, however it does not seem that I can transfer this to Copenhagen.

I would like to know what the best way to look for a job in Copenhagen is - are there are good jobs websites, and generally I would like to know peoples experience of job hunting in Copenhagen? I am willing to pretty much do any kind of job and I am open to any suggestions and tips!

Thanks
James

Hi James

Below is a list of job sites.

I am afraid that you will face difficulties in finding an adequate job. As you probably know, Denmark doesn't use bachelors (to the same extent as e.g. England and the US), but requires a master's degree. Are you prepared to give up your career for a job as a paperboy?

Are there no other solutions? Does your company have a business partner in Denmark where you could have a job? Could it be a better solution if your girlfriend came to England? Can you keep a backdoor open at the company if this doesn't work?

As you see, I am not optimistic so don't burn your bridges.

Best regards,
Nellie

Hi!

I don't agree :)

You might not have a master but i know a large amount of people with really nice jobs, who doesn't have a master. Alot of of companies does as well look at your experience in the field. If you have a job at a respectable law firm and have a sincer interest in the field, i dont think you will have a harder time finding a job than any danish person..
