Moving to Ras Al Khaimah (RAK)

Hi All,

I am a British male who will be moving to RAK in August to teach.

I initially applied for the post which was in either Abu Dhabi or Sharjah but got offered the job in RAK.

Was a little apprehensive initially as i didnt know anything about RAK but signed and agreed to take the job as I really wanted to work in the UAE.

As time is coming closer to moving I'm getting a little stressed as still really don't know a lot about RAK and how it's like to live there being an expat.

I know it's not as busy Dubai and Abu Dhabi for obvious reasons but is there lots to do in RAK to keep you entertained?

I would love to hear any information on RAK and what it's like living there.

If you live or lived there your input and advice would be highly appreciated.
