Princess Nora University teachers may not say so, but the REAL reason they don't stay is because of the "raise".
PNU teachers get only a $36 pay raise each year. No kidding. It's kind of embarrassing and not the norm in Saudi Arabia, but $36 is how much PNU gives its teachers to come back for another year.
(Btw your starting pay is average and you pay for your own health care.)
Here's how it works:
You get 3% of your base salary increase, IF management decides to give you a raise.
Your base salary is the same as all expat teachers - about 4500 SAR.
3% of 4500 is 135 SAR (135 SAR x .03)
135 SAR = $36
Your monthly salary goes up by only $36 each time you decide to come back to PNU.
How long can you go with a $36 pay raise per year?
