Hi all, I might visit Muscat in March for a midweek break, maybe 4 or 5 days. I think I'll probably just stay in the city, see the culture, meander around, eat and drink too much...
From what I've seen online, it should be enough time to see most that Muscat has to offer. I haven't seen any recommendations as to when to visit. Is the weekend a better time than the week? I could come Friday morning and stay until Wednesday, or Sunday to Friday etc. You get the picture; I'm flexible on days. Does everything shut at the weekend or do the opening hours get longer?
Also any thoughts on where I should definitely visit? I like good art, food, drinks, history, not so keen on shopping although am not objecting to a nice mall. I could do a day trip to somewhere near the city, so is there a dependable (a relative expression in this region, I accept) tourist agency that's appropriate for a single traveller who'd be very happy to meet up with other Billy-no-mates singletons? Thanks in advance for any replies, and I hope you're enjoying the weekend.
