Ever seen a movie where, usually, a man has trouble keeping his girlfriends and dates straight?
Well, it happened in VietNam, and VietNam Airlines fined two female passengers VND 7.5-million ($350) each for causing a scene over a male passenger on a night flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Noi.
The man was innocent, a;though the cause of the fight, was not fined because he “tried his best to calm them down,” VietNam Airlines said.
The trio, whose names were not released, were seated together in a single row with the two women positioned on either side of a man. The meat in the sandwich. It remains unclear whether the explosive seating arrangement was planned or an unfortunate twist of fate.
Just minutes before the plane took off, the two rivals began exchanging insults over the shared object of their affection.
One of the women, the man's former 28-year old lover, allegedly slapped her rival, his now his wife, in the face. His real wife, 24, retaliated by throwing a kick over her husband. Former girlfriend grabbed the wife's high heel shoe and began using it to assault its owner.
The man, 30, could neither escape nor stop their vicious attacks.
Finally, an airport security team boarded the plane and escorted the trio back into the terminal with their hand-luggage. Other passengers were asked to re-check their hand-luggage to make sure the trio hadn't left anything unsafe on-board.
Security later said that the man and his 28-year old ex-lover had two children before he married his current wife. The ex-lover allegedly started the argument by accusing the wife of having seduced her man, according to incident reports submitted by both of the assailants.
There must be a moral to this story somewhere.
