Invitation Letter

I am working on my visa application for Uruguay and one of the requirements is that I should get an Invitation letter. Then there is a part on the visa application which is requesting for a reference from someone in Uruguay. I am a bit lost on how I can get all this as this will be my first time visiting the country and I don't know anyone there as yet. Can someone please help with advise on what else I can do on these requirements.

Thank You

I think they are looking for someone in Uruguay who would accept the financial burden of your visit in terms of housing, food, medical insurance etc. in the event you did not have sufficient income.

I would contact the closest Uruguayan Embassy and ask them for advice on how to do this.

Also, maybe there is someone from your country already here.  Have you joined the Facebook group?

What kind of work would you do here?  Maybe there is someone in the same field who could suggest something. Do you belong to any groups, volunteer organizations or church that might be here too. Perhaps they would help. Maybe you could come as a volunteer for an organization that does charitable work here. If you search for volunteer in Uruguay you will see some ideas by different groups and also people looking for volunteers to help with projects.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much Morell for the reply. I wanted to come first on a Tourist Visa, but also look for English teaching opportunities.

I will join the facebook group and do you have any volunteer pages you can also refer to me if you know of any?

I do not know anything about these but may be worth contacting

Although often the volunteers are 18 years and up, I am sure they would welcome someone who is more mature.

It clearly says either reference or confirmed hotel booking. Why don't you book a hotel online and provide the booking details to them?
