911, or should I say 999, in Scotland

I am currently a supervisor over a large emergency services center in the U.S. and am wondering what kinds of services I might find work at in Scotland.  My husband is a corrections deputy at a large jail.  What are the chances our experience would be attractive to the law enforcement community there?

Hi

If your husband is able to work here (visa's allowing etc) I don't think it will be a problem him getting a job in one of the prisons. I believe they are looking for staff as my brother in law from guiana (excuse the spelling) is considering it. He can work here but is not entitled to any benefits, even though he is married to my sister. I believe when someone calls 999 in Scotland it is initially put through to a "call centre" therefore work may be available for you too. Work for all is much less available in Scotland than it once was as the recession is global, unfortunately.
