Are there pharmacies inside the compounds? If so what can you not get there?

I'm unaware of a pharmacy in any compound except at Aramco in Dharhan.
There are pharmacies everywhere in this country, though. Were you look for something in particular?

You can venture out of the compound...its not quite the jungle:)
There are pharmacies all over Riyadh.
Most compounds do provide a bus service for the ladies, which takes them to different shopping centres each day
