Phones issues to the US

I'm having a strange phone issue. I posted a CV on several KSA sites, looking for a position there. I received about six phone calls in the weeks following, but I couldn't hear anyone speaking on the other side. I just got an email from one of the recruiters stating my cell phone didn't work. I've never heard of issues with incoming calls. Anybody have any ideas?

one thing i have learned, the hard way, in sa is that someone tries to call you ONCE and you didnt pick up cos youi were in the LOO and they claim they have been calling you a 1,000 times.

I think its a math problem in their minds....probably a new Arabian Decimal System

Hi Trisara, welcome to the forum!

The couple times I was called in the States, the there was no problem. However, it may depend if it is landline-to-landline connection?

Cell phones are quirky. I can use my Skype account to call landlines and the quality is excellent. To call cellphones, which Skype claims is possible, I hear the connection for a second or two and then nothing.

I suggest you give them a landline number, if at all possible.
