Belize vs. Costa Rico

Here's a blog posting by a family of traveling nomads who lived in Costa Rica (ends with an "a", by the way) for 1.5 years, then in Ambergris Caye in Belize.  I know they found much good in both places but seemed to like CR more.  All depends on what you are looking for, though, and obviously different places in Belize will vary as well.

They are now in Bali, by the way, and love it.
