Finance Jobs in Calgary

Hi,

I'm an Aussie who is looking to move to Canada and in particular Calgary early next year. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiance in looking for work in the Finance industry (such as financial advice)?.  i'm hoping that i might be able to get into a reasonable size independent company, however most of the jobs advertised on the employment sites all seem to be with banking institutions...

Would I be better considering a move to Toronto, given that it is suppose to be the "financial capital" of Canada?
