im moving to barcelona and was thinking about taking the tefl course beforhand.which one is the best?and should i bother? are there jobs for english teachers? moneys tight and i dont want to blow it on some tefl scam. any advice is greatly appreciated! blessings

I did an intensive one-month TEFL course many years ago at International House in Barcelona. It was well organised and the teaching was good. If you get high marks in your final assessment, that makes it easier to get a job in a language school. Working as a freelance teacher is much more difficult, and it is hard if not impossible to make a living doing just that. The way to go is get a job in a language school and then pick up private, better paid classes gradually as you make contacts.
