Hi fafajohood5!

I would suggest to post an advert in the jobs section of Slovenia classifieds.
It might help!

Good luck
Armand

Re: searching a job (emergency)

Well, it's no surprise you don't get a job there.I am not sure how good your Slovenian is but of course like in any country, native speakers have prerogative. To work in a restaurant (except maybe kitchen) or kindergarten you need to know language, how else will you speak with guests or kinds and their parents (except if it is international kindergarten). Maybe you can try some internet business or open your own international kindergarten or baby sitting service or your own private EN language course service!! Or try to go and visit embassies in Ljubljana, especially those of EN speaking countries and see if the have some work for you - you never know: http://embassy.goabroad.com/embassies-in/slovenia#.
In countries such as ex_Yu it is very hard to get anything without very good language skills. And situation in Slo is getting worse anyway. Why do you think Slovenian intellectuals who are young enough and have some foreign language skills and uni degrees move out of Slo and look for jobs in EU or even further? Because Slovenia is to small and at the bad place right now and there is not much to choose from career-wise.
Maybe you should really try to open an S.P. and figure out what foreigners in Ljubljana are missing and maybe by advertising via embassies you can build your own small successful business without having to invest much money at all!
If you'll be waiting for someone to offer you a job, you'll probably wait forever.

I wish you luck and I really believe that there is a need within international community in Slo for certain services that you could provide and people would be happy to pay you for it. Embassies and consults can be very useful for ideas and for advertising your services.

Re: searching a job (emergency)

hi
you are wrong.. first of all , in other countries, even in third world countries, its too much easier to find a job..so its not hard in every countries to get a job, since i was in different countries and i could find not only job, but the job i really liked..
second, i understand and i see it now ,so many young slovenian ppl are leaving , because as u said ex.yu countries, not really difficult ,but impossible to find a suitable job..even for slovenian ,not only for foreigners..so its not so much related to languages, since i have already ,but i want something more..(i am a teacher).
and also , i know alot slovenian ppl who are unemployed, but i saw alot foreigners could even works in restaurant, and even they dont know as much as i know slovene language..
one of my friend is also babysit, and she doesnt know not even "hvala" smile and she gets more money than my husband who is slovenian and works regulary for government !
but ofcourse i want something reliable.. and be sure i wont stay here ,its just temporary and its because i really have to stay, and if i knew situation here ,i wouldnt come here at all..but now i am stuck smile..but no problem..
if i ask here, because i found the other job like this, so again you are wrong , i wasnt waiting for sb to offer me a job, but also if i dont know slovenian ppl, and also because u know slovenian are too close and not so friendly, so if i can not inform that i am exist here also, they never want to even talk to u smile .. which i understand, coz they are scare of strangers because of their history (coz everytime some foreign country wanted to abuse them and got them as a slave)..so its understandable .. and i will never open my own business in this poor and not reliable country .as u said its too small and the situation is going to be worse and worse, so i will never do the second mistake ..
about different international ad..they are bullshit. at least for around only 2 million ppl its not a good way ..
but anyway thanks, u really tried to help me ,friend..
i wish u luck in this situation if u r also living in slovenia ..
