Things to do in Algiers

Hello,
I hope that everybody had a good month of Ramadadhan. 

At the beginning, when I moved to Algeria I was struggling with finding things to do over the week-end. So, now, I want to share with new and old expatriates some of the things and places that I enjoy here in Algiers.

On top of my list is the Centre Culturel Francais dAlger , because they organize many cultural events,  very interesting film projections, concert -  classic,  jazz -, dance shows, a lot of things   http://www.ccf-dz.com/programme-culture … t:int=0&-C

I use, also, http://www.kherdja.com/index.php to find out what's the buzz in town.

When it's not that hot outside I enjoy a walk in Jardin d'Essai – the botanical garden.

Sport:  Tennis – there are quite a lot of tennis courts in the city, and you can find a tennis coach very easy.  I prefer the one in Sidi Fredji http://www.sidifredj-hotels.com/?r=sport_club&id=2 .  I saw that there is also a pool club there http://www.sidifredj-hotels.com/?r=loisir_adr&id=37
