I'm from Singapore and new to Bahrain, I'm wondering if anyone could help me understand the process of obtaining a driving license a little better!
Based on my understanding you need to do the following:
- Go to the traffic directorate with a copy of your passport, 2 passport photos, proof of residency
- Attend a theory based lecture? (is this on the same day of application or do you have to book another day to attend this?)
- Get your learner license
- Find a driving instructor
- Go through a minimum of 22 hours of driving lessons
- Go for practical test
My questions are:
- At what point do you do your theory test? or is there no theory test?
- Is 22 hours of lessons the minimum?
- Can anybody recommend a driving instructor that has a good pass rate and is english speaking?
