Legal & Tax Advisors - Professionals To Recommend? USA- To France

HI We would like recommendations of firms in tax & legal advisors specific for USA citizens looking to reside in France long term.

Thank you in advance.

@Debi Myers Hi Deby, I'm working with many different consultants but the one-stop shop that is used to be dealing with US citizen quite often is Richard Hammond and his team from French Connections HCB, you can get in touch with them using our form here => https://www.fabfrenchinsurance.com/visa-residency/ (choose the consultant option). Once you have a chat tell them I (Fabien) recommended you to him but he'll provide astonishing service no matter the source it's just to get a more friendly advise potentially ;-)

And of course, when the times come to getting the right insurance for your visa application you can also use our services. The premiums are visible online on https://www.fabfrenchinsurance.com/medi … pe=medical

Kind regards,

@Debi Myers Not an advisor, but here's a nice article on the US-France tax treaty and it's implications.

@Debi Myers For taxes, I recommend Isaac Barchichat at Monceau CPA. He and his team are qualified in France and the U.S. and everything is handled online. https://www.monceaucpa.com

Hi Deby,

As you can see people are quick to point you to real estate agents, insurance agents and all sorts of non tax or legal professionnels to get your business. As an expat, there may be tax considerations that are very specific to your status to consider. I would recommend taking a look at the list of English speaking attorneys provided by the US Embassy in France.

Don't pay a nonlawyer for legal advice.
