Vaccinations = several are recommended but are they required?

Newbie here on the scene...

Very much interested in retiring to Ethiopia and wanted to do my homework before making the final decision.

Plan is to visit 2 weeks during Easter 2023 and get familiar as much as possible. I have concerns with the civil unrest and the quality of health care but overall it's a beautiful country in which to live.

My most urgent question is vaccinations = several are recommended but are they required? From your expert experiences, what to you suggest?

Hello mjmitcho,

Please note that I have created a new thread with your post for more visibility on the Ethiopia forum.

I would say it is always better to do the required or even recommended vaccines to be on the safe side.

Will that be your first time in Ethiopia?

Hopefully, someone here can give you more details.

Cheers,

Cheryl
