In brief, he is well versed on everything from relocating wires in the turbine control panel, to reprogramming the control panels software and code, to dynamically testing / proofing algorithms, to overseeing entire multiple turbine controls systems retrofits and relocation projects, to developing specialized one off controls solutions, to developing turbine controls site specific training schools materials, as well as teaching and hands on lab exercises with technicians and operators for their on-site equipment. He served honorably in the U.S. military for 6 years as a Gas Turbine Controls System Technician. He worked another decade as a GE Trained OEM Field Engineer with General Electric and then departed GE as a Senior Controls Engineer / Specialist for almost a decade. He also worked as a Controls Systems Manager and Engineer for a Power Generation Project Developer. He also enjoyed another 5+ years with Global Controls servicing clients in the same manner as the OEM Controls Engineers and Project Managers do at GE Energy. He additionally enjoyed a 6 month contract with Turbine Controls & Excitation Group, as a Senior Turbine Controls Engineer and New Market Developer to lead the continued expansion of operations in their U.S. mid-west and southern regions. His most recent employment has been with Advanced Turbine Control Consulting Services. He has been responsible for well over a billion dollars of equipment throughout the breadth of his career. He has developed and/or been the Lead Instructor for site specific controls schools and has provided his engineering expertise for planned and forced outages at entities such as: GE Operated & Maintained facilities, independents entities such as Texas A&M University, paper mills such as Champion, and most major U.S. electric utilities such as Houston Light & Power Indiana Power & Light, Florida Power & Light, El Paso Power & Light, as well as most major oil and gas companies.
