Introduction
Born in NZ, but spent many years in Australia, mainly SA, the last 3 years in Darwin, ( acclimatising???? ) , now been in Central VN for 5 yrs, every week is a new ' experience ', the limits of some peoples stupidity still amazes me, here it is called culture? Thank god I have an intelligent dog to keep me sane.

Expat experience
Fresh fruit , cheap living. No tax. Beautiful SLIM women.
No personal space, too noisy and too much smoke/pollution
The thought of moving to Darwin 2007 --2010
Weather extremes still the same. Darwin way too expensive to live. Booze culture.
Waiting for my wife's NZ Visa.
The idea or getting out of there. Although some nice scenery away from the cities.
Too crowded. Polluted. Hypocritical Religious people.
The idea of returning to Aussie
too bloody cold, and I was the wrong colour.
Fabricating , Diesel Engineering
Clean, low crime, best city in Aus.
weather extremes, can go from -1 --30 in the same day.
A great place to visit, but like many places these days, the whiteman is a dying breed.
Peace and quiet, ( rural ), people are friendly , but still give you plenty of SPACE, ( unlike VN ).
