I have been living in Sihanoukville Cambodia since January of 2007 after 20 years on the east coast of Australia, having migrated there from San Francisco in 1985. I earn my living writing for a variety of Australian and American websites. I started my blog, Sihanoukville Journal primarily as a way to dispel some of the myths about this fast changing city and to do my bit to promote responsible tourism here. The "Wild West" image of Sihanoukville was out of date when I arrived here and doesn't even begin to accurately portray today's Sihanoukville.
