Introduction

Hi all - I've been living in Europe (mainly Paris) since the mid-80s, and now I split my time between Phuket and Paris (winters are just too cold in France!). Am retired, but keep pretty busy socially.

I joined expat.com on 16 March 2011.

The temperature, the sea-views, Thai cuisine, and, of course, Thai prices!

There are 20-30 times as many tourists from a given country here as the expats actually living on Phuket. Most everyone you meet is a tourist, and it's hard to meet people who actually live here.
