About me
I was born in Birmingham,UK.My father was in the Royal Navy,so I travelled ever since I was 5.I myself joined the Merchant Navy in 1980 and travelled the world for 8 years,countries include most of north and south america,the ivory coast and europe.I met a lady in London in 1988 and within 3 months mI was married and moved to Finland.I have been here much of the time but you cannot keep an old dog down,so I have travelled too Russia and the Ukraine.I think now I shall stop moving so much and as a result have set up my site telling my defeats and victories
I can speak English,Finnish,little French
My birthday is on 3 November, I was born in 1963

Diary of a British Expat in Finland
I have been living in Finland on & off.I have alway`s had this inner urge to just keep on travelling.I love the thrill of being in new places and having to meet people,find my way around and educate myself,sort of mystically. I have done most of the way out pilgrimages,India,Tibet,walked some of the apulucian trail in the states.Mixed with hippies in the 80`s and travelled on the happy bus through Eurpe,Turkey,Iran and Afganistan.I attempted to live in Kharkov,Ukraine in 1991 when it was still the Soviet Union.Unfortunately I could not survive well enough without Russian. Now I am for a long time pretty much resident in Finland,due to the love of my Blog and writing some of the better memories.Take a look.It is only a 5 months old child,but I have aspirations

I enjoy blogging,it has given me a whole new direction in my Life.I am attenmpting to study more web design skills,Search Engine Marketing and optimisation.In my free time I enjoy being able to walk in the surrounding nature and think undisturbed
My occupation:
I was Diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis 4 years ago and have been forced to give up work.However I kep busy in my free time
What I like about this destination:
The safe feeling one gets when in Finland is unbelievable.The nature is stunning with so many beautiful lakes.There is also a natural weather phenomena named,"The Northern Lights"or Aurora Borealöis.WHEN SEEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IT TOOK MY BREATHE AWAY!Myself and my Finnish wife have a country house in Lappeenranta,Eastern Finland.We try to visit the place 2 times a year.I can attempt some gardening and collect forrest mushrooms and berries,Very many in Finland
What I don't like about this destination:
Nothing really.I don`t miss England.I do wish that there were more css/html/php courses that I could attend
