Expat experience
Stopped in to refit my baby, Nirvana which is a 30ft O'Day sailboat and life decided to set me on another path.
The beaches and laid-back attitudes. You can just ride your own chill all day, and no one drops negativity on you. It's wonderful.
Dived the Blue Hole. Took a trip to Tikal, over in Guatemala. Did a lot of fishing and diving to check out the reefs. Lionfish! Holy Hell it's delish! I took a hike through some forest with a group and the most terrifying part was when we noticed a Jaguar watching us.
It's absolutely beautiful. It has wonderful clear blue water, I didn't have to deal with any boat thieves. The local food is to die for, and you just can't help but have a good time once you get away from the tourist havens in the north. Perfect location for snorkeling and diving.
