From South Florida, (originally from Illinois) and would like to retire in EC, hopefully outside Cotacachi on a few acres. Would like to have my own garden and raise some kind of livestock to earn extra travel money. Would be interested in finding out more about those new Ecuadorian modular homes I've read about. Need to find out if they hold up okay with earthquake activity and how often earthquake activity occurs in, around, and outside of Cotacachi.
