I currently live in Amman, Jordan where I am an intern for the Ministry of Social Development. I and am hoping to get a job with an NGO after I finish this internship and continue to work abroad. I graduate from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in political science next semester. I spent five years living in the Middle East with my family when I was younger. I did an internship with the English Skills Learning Center, a nonprofit organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, during college I worked for a rehabilitation organization for adolescent girls dealing with sexual trauma. After college I want to gain work experience in public service and then go on to get a masters degree in public policy. My goal is to make a career in public service, hopefully emphasizing on women's issues.I have a lot of experience working with adolescents coming from harsh environments and low income immigrants in Salt Lake City. I have loved being in college and am excited to use everything I have been learning!
I joined expat.com on 19 January 2015.
I spent time in Istanbul on a backpacking trip. I fell in love with the culture and the rich history it holds. I am very interested in Turkey's political position and it's influence on a global scale. I am working towards building a career working for an NGO and would love to start my career in Istanbul.
I love the diverse history of the country and the effect that history has left on the culture.

I love the culture and have experience with Arabic. I love the location and the people I connect with through my internship.
As a white, American woman, I get a lot of negative attention from native men.
