+Nurses are angels with stethoscopes+ +Southern girls are whiskey in a teacup <3 +American by birth + pancultural by heart+
I joined expat.com on 23 December 2014.
I have visited twice to both BUE and Neuquen for pleasure and tourism
The people are kind, the food is amazing and has many cultural elements, and the vast difference you can experience in terrain. Villa La Angostura in the Patagonian region is a picturesque mountain town with AMAZING trucha (trout) dishes and chocolate and wines. Neuquen is a jewel in the desert of the Neuquen province with great shopping and seems to have a blossoming modern culture center. Buenos Aires is just....perfect. Two major airports make getting around AR very convenient. BUE has preserved its history in the many stone palacios and neighborhoods. The city is sprawling with shops, great food, and diversity is apparent as you walk down crowded streets.
I have minor complaints that mostly stem from my American attitude of expecting all the conveniences of life to be at my disposal wherever I may be. I have a deep-seated hatred of the public mail system in AR. They are open whenever the urge strikes them and they could care less if you urgently need something....boludos!
