Introduction

Lived in Tampa Florida most of my life, came to Belgium to retire, my wife is originally from Austria and I met her in Brussels 35 years ago. We wanted to live on the North Sea coast of Belgium. We both speak English, French, German and Dutch. Looking forward to meeting other Americans living in this area.

Expat experience

Since September 2014

Butgenbach, Wallonia, Belgium

Peaceful, close to Germany or Luxembourg. Although living in a small village we don't have far to go when grocery shopping, hardly any traffic and all around friendly people.

Being this is the highest point in Belgium, lots of snow and cold but overall a very nice place to live.
