Two children, Making the new apartment a home!
The warm weather were you never have to freeze. Many places to pray and worship god. The people are very friendly and also child-friendly. The beautiful, colorful Sarees.
Wondering whether the smog will harm my children.
Mom of my two kids, 3 and 5, very arts and craftsy in the winter season.
I have family and friends here of course. I like that I know the language :)
I miss the expat status, being all together as a traveling crowd, sharing new experiences. I don't like people complaining about my kids, many Germans feel easily offended by kids. It's getting too cold in the winter time.
I worked as a school psychologist at the biggest German School there. I had my second child delivered in Cairo.
The expat life! I had never been lived abroad so I was stunned to meet Egyptians, Australians, a friend from Sri Lanka and his wife from England, other Germans along with me, in general the sense of belonging abroad. Egypt itself I found to be a very warm place even in winter which we really enjoyed. We had a great apartment there. I liked the desert and palm trees. And I liked the people being so child-friendly there-
The polluted air, some men on the street were slightly intimidating to me (I hesitate to write so generally, but it was true for me at that time), the terrible traffic.
