Welcome! I'm an American expat living in Argentina. If you're thinking about moving to Argentina or you simply want to visit, this blog is just for you! Raised as an American, I made the difficult decision to leave my home in the United States to move to Argentina, the country of my birth. I offer tips on how to make the transition easier & I make cultural comparisons between both countries. The information in this blog will enrich you with first hand cultural experience.
As a South African living in Argentina, this site is specifically catered for those who want to join me on a journey through the lens of my camera. A journey of photography in the how to category, sharing my photos of South Africa and Argentina (including some other places around the world). I may even share a little of my experience as a foreigner living in Argentina.
Cristin's Adventure's: Adventures of an American teacher traveling and seeking a new place to call home
Originally from Michigan, I also lived in Phoenix, Arizona for nine years. I am a thirty-two year old Spanish, French, and ESL teacher. In July I left Arizona to move to Málaga, Spain for a teaching job. I brought just myself, a backpack, and two other suitcases. When the job turned out to be a scam, I looked for other jobs, and then moved to Brussels to look for work. Since it was extremely difficult to get a working permit for the EU, I decided to move to Buenos Aires. Now I am here in Argentina, looking for a teaching job or freelance writing work! I am very much enjoying my adventures and I am so grateful for this wonderful experience!
