Lovely Awkward: Wine, Romance and Life Among the French
I'm a 35-year-old journalist who has reported for the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Ottawa Citizen, and in radio and television at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
Recently, however, I ran away to France for a whirlwind romance -- with a Frenchman I'd known for just nine days. I'm currently working on a book about my lovely, but awkward adaptation into life along the Mediterranean.

After dating a French professor for only nine days at the end of the summer, I left my life in Canada on a wild, little whim and moved to Nice, France.
