I have moved to Morocco, Marrakesh, to live part time to learn about the country, culture and work with other professionals to teach English. I have recently retired from a large telecommunications company and am ready to become a student of Morocco to learn more about this beautiful and exotic country, its people and history. I am interested in meeting with other women to share life observations and stories about who they are and how they got there.

      • Hi, I'm going to be in Morocco from mid-May to mid-June this year, to finalize the purchase of a house I bought in Marrakesh. I plan to be in Marrakesh part time (maybe 5 - 6 months out of each year, mostly during the winter months. I'd love to meet other English speaking people in the area, and find some friends and/or a community there. I would love to meet up with you, and any other people in similar circumstances. Please let me know if you would like to meet when I am over there in a few weeks.

        • Hello, i am a native Fassi ( from fez, Morocco)
One of the best ways to learn about and adjust your concept of Morocco is to try and make contact with The American peace Corps Volunteers. Many of them would have spent more than a year in the country and thus can provide unique and helpful tips of how to survive your initial apprehensions, if you experience any.
I believe the APC office is in Rabat, Rue Tangier.

          Good luck
