Life in Morocco
Author
Hi, I'm actually a second generation expat, if such a thing is possible. My parents are Californians, but moved to Morocco way back when. I was born and raised in Marrakesh, and speak Moroccan Arabic, French and English with equal fluency. I went back to the States for university. I got a BS in Math and a second degree in Spanish. Then I married my sweetheart, and we decided to move back to Marrakesh to start a family. We have been blessed with 3 children. I have lots of little jobs and random interests and projects: teaching English, tutoring math, website design, diy, writing, photography etc. Like most moms, those things are just the extras, my real work is being present to my children, listening to them and fully seeing them.

1000 bucks is nearly 8000 dhs and with that amount , u can survive if all utilities are payed rent, electric and the rest and ofcourse if u have a car but with 20000 DHS u will live a great retirement
I hope you can shed some light to us since we are considering retirement in Morocco. At least the climate in the coastal areas of morocco is very similar to Californians. But how is the standard of living if one wants to spend 1000 us dollars per month?
I will apreciate your comments
