Hi Joseph Martin,
Payroll systems are of different types,could be manual,software or one that uses a computer to process payroll information.Payrolls are used to pay employees.What happens is that,the HR in a company handling this will collect one's personal details ,insert it into the payroll system and use this info to calculate tax,paid leave time,any other deductions and ultimately the net salary due to a person.
