Windows 10 free upgrade

Just upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10  :)
It's easy if you have a valid Win 7 or Win 8 (valid includes cracked!)
Details available in Microsoft site.
If you don't want to wait until you get download notification after reserve your upgrade, just download and install Media creation tool then upgrade or make a bootable USB stick/ DVD to install to another computer(remember, it should have a valid Windows 7 0r 8 in it. Otherwise you need to provide product key which is only with purchased copy).
Depending on your machine, it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to finish Windows 10 upgrade.
Windows 10 is fast with many new features.
If you don't like and wish to get back to your previous OS, it's possible within 1 month.

Doesn't it come with some tech?
Can't remember what, but something VR.

I looked at this and Windows 10 looks pretty cool and very appealing. However, upgrading right away after release, you may want to be prepared for some apps to crash or your hardware connectedto your device (printer, webcam, card readers..etc)  may not function as it did before? But i guess with the one month soak time, you will find out.  :)

Saying that the previous version of Microsoft OS's that have been released like Win 7 have been pretty stable. Haven't used Win 8 as i didnt like the way some things were set out and morever, I felt this was more for the touch screen use.

Good luck with Win 10 and let us know how it works out.

After one week use, can say it's pretty cool for me. Yeah, for me, because I saw many others complaint in Microsoft feedback  :)  When I saw their complaints, most of them were FAQ type!
Back to my experience. I used almost every apps. Only Windows media player crashes sometimes. I hope it will be fine when they upgrade it. This player is the same I used in Win 7. Groove music, Movies & TV works fine without any problem. I used IE 11 last in my Win 7 but many times it crashed if I open more than 5 tabs. With Edge, I can open up to 15 tabs at the same time and it works without system hang! I used Win 8 for 1 week but no comment  :)  Windows 10 is much better than any other Microsoft OS I used. Yeah, again I have one month time to revert back if some problem!

Thanks for sharing, I did upgrade from July 29, 2015

My Windows7 restoration period ended and files deleted !
After one month use, still running smoothly without any problems  :)

I decided  to roll back to Windows 7. W10 is a good OS and Edge does everything that Microsoft said it would, but as far as I'm concerned its not ready for prime time just yet. The constant security patches and updates just keep coming. Its installed the driver for my printer 21 times and I'm not exaggerating. 21 times. I don't feel the control over the computer like I have with W7. Just to many things happening behind the scenes. I guess the other thing is it won't allow me to install the Google toolbar in Edge that has a button to translate an entire web page, which is something I really need.

@Budman
EDGE:
Click "More Actions" button on the right top (...)and click "Settings"
"Open with" select "A specific page or pages" and choose custom then enter http://google.com/ and press + button to add.
Click "View Advanced settings" and on the "Show the home button" enter http://google.com/ and save.
"Search in the address bar with" type and add www.google.com
I don't use bing
Or if you want to use Internet Explorer:
Click "More Actions" button on the right top (...)and click "Open with Internet Explorer"

I don't have any hardware problems. Almost drivers are updated by Win 10
If you want to revert back to Win 7, do it before 1 month  :)  otherwise need to re install.

For some Win 10 will work well, for some it may not as we have have difference hardware devices and applications on our pc/laptops.

Win 7 is one of the best OS microsoft have come out with. - seems to work well  :top:

With microsoft i wait till the product is out for a a good span of months (during which bugs are ironed out) then i will select to upgrade  :D

Good luck to all the Win10 early adopters  :proud
