Hello guys
We are coming to BG next wednesday and flying into Sofia. We have hired a car from the airport to get us around. We are looking for hotels in the Sofia area, Bansko and Plovdiv. Do any of you have any suggestions of nice places to stay? We are happy for a hotel or B&B.

Hi,
The Sheraton and The Grand in Sofia are good -- Hilton nice too but just a bit further out of the centre, in Bansko the Kempinski or Premier Luxury are both nice and both have very nice Spas. Casa Boyana, is further out, more boutique but still 10 minutes cab ride away from centre. Boutique hotel Les Fleurs in Sofia is on Vitosha and has a v nice location to enjoy thee cafe culture.
In Plovdiv the Novotel is very nice... as is the Novotel in Sofia -- the on in Sofia is close to the airport and not in the centre. But as cabs are cheap i would probably recommend that one for value for money in Sofia.

Thank you Lancelot for the information. We have now booked our hotels for Sofia and Bansko. I will look into the Novotel in Plovdiv when we are in BG.

You will have no problems finding a hotel in all three places this time of the year. Just select the price level and check for reviews by other clients.
