Hello Folks,
Having read so many posts I'm bleary eyed, and I have a few questions. It would seem that Ecuador has 110 Volt mains. My laptop, iPad, etc. need 220V input. Any suggestions?

Check the rating on your laptop charger, most are "dual voltage" meaning the acceptable AC voltage input ranges from 100V - 240V, 50/60Hz. iPad, iPhone, etc. chargers are rated 100-240 volts at 50-60 Hertz so they will work without a voltage converter. Obviously, you will need an adaptor because the Chinese plug pin configuration will not match in Ecuador (or Central America, North America, etc.)
