LPP and work endorsment - apply in UK or within South Africa

Hi

After reading a few forums and chatting to a few immigration specialists, I'm still not sure whether to apply for the LPP and work endorsment in the UK or SA.

My girlfriend already has a job offer in SA, so I would like to apply for the LP and endorsment at the same time at the SA foreign commission in London....but I heard from an immigation company that they have never heard of anybody getting the endorsment while abroad...and recommend to apply for LPP in London, then the endorsment in South Africa. Is this the best way to go about it or can you apply for Endorsment in the UK?

Many thanks. Your help is much appreciated

You can only apply for a work endorsment if you have a job offer, it is not a general work endorsment, but an endorsment related to a specific job, if you want to change job you must reapply for a new endorsment.
If you do not have a job offer, you should just apply for the LPP in UK and then reapply once you got a job offer.
If you do have a job offer, then I dont know what is best.

Good luck.

Regards
Sarah

Do everything in the UK first, here in South Africa everything takes longer, and if you need any special document you'll have it with you there.
Trust me! I got my work permit thru the SA Embassy in Venezuela (took only 3 days), here to renew it was  over 3 months and they mess up the dates! And my company was doing everything. Home Affairs here is a bit slow, but at the end of the day they awarded me a 5 year permit, so it was worth the wait...

Silvana is 100% correct, submit in the UK.

You can definitely apply for the endorsement in the UK, but you will need a signed job offer (preferably without an end date, i.e. not a temporary contract). Your permit type will change from Relative's Permit to Visitor's with endorsement. That other company seems to have lots of socks to smoke.
